About Us

The ultimate odd couple... Craig and Julie Adams are a perfect example of opposites attracting. Born in rural Conecuh County, Alabama, Julie grew up on the farm first settled by her great-grandfather, Jesse Lee. The land passed to her grandfather, Alvin Lee, and eventually her father, Larry Lee.

Julie is the oldest grandchild and was proud to be her grandfather's helper. She fed chickens, milked cows, and helped her Grandpa Lee anyway she could until he died in 1993.

After graduating high school and community college, Julie debated attending Auburn University and majoring in Agriculture Journalism. She ended up studying journalism at the University of South Alabama. Farming was never far from her mind.

Julie met Craig during her junior year in college. He was her polar opposite. Craig was a Navy brat who'd lived on the island of Bermuda and Norfolk, Va. His agriculture experience was limited to summer visits to his grandparent's dairy farm in South Alabama.

A year later, they married and, after a brief foray into city living, moved back to the Lee farm. Little did Craig know what he was in store for.

Twelve years later, the Adams have a small herd of dairy goats, a menagerie of poultry and a great big Pyrenees, Isabelle. Most importantly, they have a precious seven-year-old daughter, Sydney, who is a perfect combination of the two of them. Craig has learned to build fences, roof barns and birth calves.  He and Julie are doing their best to raise their daughter appreciate farm life as much as they do.

The three of them continue to love their life in the country and wouldn't have it any other way.
